How can I look 'date-able'?

I'm a guy, 15 years old, with an athletic build, 6-foot tall, and very mild acne (like one or two tiny ones on my cheeks). I'm embarred to admit it, but I've never dated anyone. Me and my friends made a 'pact' to get a girl over the summer, but I'm confused how. I've got a few with my sights on, but I can't seem to get them to really fully notice me. I've never truly looked for a girl (or asked one out). I guess I've always expected them to confront me. Obviously this tactic isn't very luring. One friend from another city said I probably look better than him, but he's getting tons of chicks and my score stands at 0. Any help? I don't want to be a 'playa' but I would like to make myself look approachable to women, so I can actually engage in conversation with them and (hopefully) date them. Any feedback is appreciated.
