What would compel a hot guy to date a girl who is not-so-attractive?

Chemistry... One thing works better with another... It's like how naturaly if your a girl you get along better with your mom or sister then you do a brother or father... It's just even though things don't seem right physically the emotional chemistry is beyond what everyone can see besides the two chemicals (people in this case) so only they know why they feel okay and right together
