Why is he trying to make me jealouse?! Please help!?

Ok there is this guy i like.... lets just call him apple. Then their is this other guy who likes me and i like him too... lets call him g. Ok so g knew how much i liked apple because i told him... then while we were at lunch he says... " apples girl friend is cute as hell" i was jealouse and got quite. All of a sudden the same day... g started texting me and hes like "apple only likes you as a friend" and i said " lol, screw him... hes like a brother to me eneyway" and he texted back "ha" also.... he realy does not like talking about apple with me at all. Not to be y but im a very attractive girl... and grape is not hot at all. Hes just a tough guy. I asked him "the longest relationship ive been in has been 4 months, whats the longest relationship you have been in?" He text back "8 months" i told all my friends and they are like "No!" because hes not hot.... hes always been single and hes never gone out with people because every time we asked him in the past he said "no". i also asked him... "so do you think we will ever go out" and then hes like " alot of people like me" and i go so am i wasting my time with you and hes like i dont know. then i say "sounds like you got alot of people to chose from" and says "ha, yeah" and then i text " (yawn) im getting tired, ill text you later night playa" i said play because hes making him self seem like a player.... which hes not! No girl wants him... hes just trying to boost him self esteem... alot of guys like me though.... maybe he feels he has to impress me. Why is he trying to make me jealouse?
